Мы имеем всего несколько дней до 24 декабря, чтобы подписать петицию и проголосовать против изменения в стандарт чау-чау!!! _____________________________________________________________________________ Ниже приведу полный текст обращения к чауфанатам всего мира: EXTREMELY URGENT MEMO TO ALL CHOWISTS WORLDWIDE: Please pardon any duplicate posts to World Chow members --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE WE URGE YOU TO TAKE THE TIME TO SIGN THIS IMPORTANT CHOW PETITION BEFORE DECEMBER 24, 2008 click here --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attention World Chow members and all who read this, As many of you have read on our World Chow forum http://worldchow.com in the past weeks, the UK is proposing some major changes to the Chow Chow standard that will not only affect the Chows in Europe but ultimately on every corner of our planet over time. NOTE: DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PETITION AND STANDARD WILL BE HERE ДИСКУССИЯ (НА АНГЛИЙСКОМ ЯЗЫКЕ) Recently some of our members brought to our attention that the proposed amendments are now on the table and almost official. We ....the fanciers have been given only a short window of opportunity.... until December 30th to react and voice our opinions and concerns, however we may need to submit by the 24th because of potential holiday closures at the KC. The timing being over the holidays may be inconvenient but it will not deter this World Chow Alpha Bitc.h and many many others from having our say and making UK KC aware, we feel that most of the proposed changes are completely unacceptable and unnecessary. Nothing should ever be inconvenient when it comes to our chows and the future of this breed , so this petition was written in the attempt to draw worldwide attention to the issue . We need thousands of signatures in 5 days time it is a big challenge but I know you all and your passion for our breed. We can make this happen!!! Please take the time to read the proposed changes to the UK Chow Standard below, then we urge you to sign this petition which was authored by a small group of International Chow breeders and fanciers who are Worldchow members. Even though this standard change is not affecting us directly in the U.S. and other countries at the moment...it will ultimately and negatively impact the breed from here on in all over the planet. With the increase in frozen breedings Worldwide, these changes (eg. requiring a more angulated rear) will affect all of our genepools in a few short years. The Chow as it has been represented in history with it's unique stilted gait.... will be no more and that is a guarantee if the UK KC proposal passes. We are not the only breed being affected. A list of multiple breeds are at risk losing some of their long standing, most defining breed specific traits, with no concrete documentation to back the reasoning behind these proposed changes. On the petition there is an optional space for constructive comments next to where you sign. Please feel free to respectfully voice your opinion as to why you cannot accept these proposed changes for our breed. You will also find a tab to click on at the top of the petition to email to friends...click on that tab to your hearts content!! Please!!!. All standards will include the following introductory paragraph from January 2009: A Breed Standard is the guideline which describes the ideal characteristics, temperament and appearance of a breed and ensures that the breed is fit for function. Absolute soundness is essential. Breeders and judges should at all times be careful to avoid obvious conditions or exaggerations which would be detrimental in any way to the health, welfare or soundness of this breed. From time to time certain conditions or exaggerations may be considered to have the potential to affect dogs in some breeds adversely, and judges and breeders are requested to refer to the Kennel Club website for details of any such current issues. If a feature or quality is desirable it should only be present in the right measure. 2. Any proposed changes to the breed standard will appear below Chow Chow General Appearance Active, compact, short-coupled and essentially well balanced, leonine in appearance, proud, dignified bearing; well knit frame; tail carried well over back. Should always be able to move freely and must not have so much coat as to impede activity or cause distress in hot weather. Characteristic Quiet dog, good guard, bluish-black tongue; [Delete ‘unique in its stilted gait’]. Hindquarters Hindlegs muscular, hocks well let down, with moderate [delete ‘minimal’] angulation. [Delete ‘essential to produce characteristic stilted gait’]. From hocks downwards to appear straight, hocks never flexing forward. Gait/Movement Relatively short stepping. [Delete ‘short and stilted’.] Forelegs and hindlegs moving parallel to each other and straight forward. Dogs should always be able to move freely and soundly without any sign of distress. Coat Either rough or smooth. Rough: profuse, abundant, dense, straight and stand-off. Outer coat rather coarse in texture, with soft woolly undercoat. Especially thick round neck forming mane or ruff and with good culottes or breechings on back of thighs. Smooth: coat short, [delete - abundant,] dense, straight, upstanding, not flat, plush-like in texture. Any artificial shortening of the coat which alters the natural outline or expression should be penalised. Letisia: Девочки,не голосуйте по несколько раз с одного компа! Это бесполезно! А то и вообще итоги голосования могут признать недействительными! Голосовать нужно только с РАЗНЫХ компьютеров (IP) !!!

гость: Если стандарт уже изменен, то к сожалению ни чем не помочь, следующие поправки возможны только через 3-4 года, конечно сидеть сложа руки не стоит и высказать свое мнение надо и нужно. Туманный Альбион является законодателем мод.... Хочется надеяться, что FCI прислушается к мнению заводчиков, а не к СМИ.

Но дело в том ,что как раз Англия и является законодателем нашей породы!Если они примут такое решение и подадут заявку в FCI,то стандарт изменится обсолютно для всех членов FCI (кроме ассоциативных членов,например АКС-Америка), и это организация, куда входят более чем 100 стран. Показанный по ВВС фильм произвел эффект разорвавшейся бомбы. Это был пример бульварного журнализма, который коротко может быть описан как "Породистые собаки? Парад мутантов! Клуб Питомников? Тупые евгенисты! Заводчики? Гонящиеся за длинным рублём строители песочных замков!» И изменениями стандарта многих пород Кеннел Клуб фактически это признает. . Пересмотры стандартов 209 пород, заявленных как критичные по здоровью и требующие срочных изменений экстерьеров во имя спасения собак, выглядят как панический ответ Кеннел Клуба к программе Обзора Би-Би-Си.. Теперь они работают над лозунгом «Стандарты 209 пород будут изменены в пользу здоровых животных".
